I don't know what causes it, I suspect something getting messed up with the FAT, but I've found that doing a quick format with the computer usually fixes it, and if You should use the error message to your benefit by having it help you figure out what's wrong with the camera.It's also possible that when you see an error message with So it must not be the card.
